Summary: The story "Adulteração de combustível", by Globo TV reporters César Tralli, Robinson Cerântula and Willian Santos, won the Barbosa Lima Sobrinho Trophy. Summary: "The Ambulances of Fraud", a scandal that became known as "The leech mafia", published in Correio Braziliense newspaper, was the outright winner of the 8th Embratel Press Award.

Summary: The article "Abuso Sexual Infantil" (Child Abuse) was the highlight of this year's award by winning the Barbosa Lima Sobrinho Grand Prix. Another special occasion was the tribute paid to photographic reporters all over Brazil. Summary: The Kuarup/Xingu story was the outright winner this year with the Barbosa Lima Sobrinho grand prix.
