Companies will present cutting-edge solutions for multimedia market

Embratel and Star One, its satellite subsidiary, will be attending  the 17th Broadcast & Cable Exhibit, major event focused on the professionals of the multimedia electronic content production and distribution market, including regular and cable TV, radio, Internet, industry, production and telecommunications. During the event to be held on August 27-29 at Centro de Exposições Imigrantes in the city of São Paulo, the companies will present their main new industry-oriented products.

With the recent successful launch of the 3rd generation of Star One satellites, not only its regular C Band but also the Ku Band will be provided, bringing new applications to the Radio and TV market.

These are the main innovations of Embratel and Star One this year:

- New KU Band with Star One quality level (Star One C1 and Star One C2 satellites);
- RTV Digital Plus Ku Band and MPEG4/DVB-S2;
- NIT (Network Information Table) for customers using the 70° W (Star One C2 – C and Ku Band ) and 84°W (B4) positions

Star One now provides the RV Digital Plus satellite service in the Ku band for the transmission of audio and video digital signals with various transmission rates, compatible with MPEG-4/DVB-S2 standards.

With NIT, the TV stations can disseminate their channels for no additional cost, and the viewers using satellite dishes can access their favorite programs more quickly than searching channel by channel.
