Embratel selects cable TV commercial partners

Embratel's Portal will have special area for future customers

Embratel will be entering the domestic market of cable TV via satellite, and has already started to select partners for commercializing the service. The interested partners must complete the form available only at Embratel's website, link Parceiros TV Embratel.

The portal will have a special area to register the customers interested in the service. These future customers will receive first-hand information on the packages, prices and promotions offered by Embratel's cable TV.

Embratel will provide national coverage, which will permit the offer of cable TV packages combined with its portfolio of products, including DDD and IDD calls through code 21, and Embratel's wireline service Livre as well.

With the license granted by Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel) to operate the DTH technology, Embratel will strengthen the focus on the residential market, expanding its portfolio of solutions and standing out once more from the competition.

The residential consumer will benefit from the expansion of the existing cable TV network. Embratel's new DTH network will be complementary to NET network, where Embratel holds a relevant and strategic participation.

Embratel has played an important part in the history of TV in Brazil, where international events could only be transmitted thanks to its technology, like man's first steps on the Moon in 1969; the Soccer World Cup in 1970; the first color TV transmission in 1972; and the live transmission of international events (1996). All such achievements were due to Embratel's technology and pioneering efforts.
