Embratel is founded on September 16, as a public corporation.

On March 16, Embratel becomes the owner of CTB (Cia Telefônica Brasileira)

1967
On May 04, Embratel enters into its first agreement to survey the South Trunk route. On December 22, it enters into an agreement for the installation of the Tanguá Satellite Communications Earth Station, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. |
