Revival of the development.

Following the strategy started in 2004, Telmex added other Brazilian companies to Embrapar in October of 2005. For instance, they decided to purchase a 37.1% share of Net Serviços, the largest cable TV carrier in Latin America; furthermore, they acquired 100% of Telmex do Brasil (TDB), a telecommunications carrier with cable ad fiber optics networks in a number of cities.

The synergy resulting from these operations enabled Embratel to develop competitive models of local residential calling services and integrated telecommunications solutions focused on small and medium-sized companies.

Still in 2005, proceeding with the process of boosting Embratel, they purchased PrimeSys Soluções Empresariais, national leader in network management operation, for R$ 231 million.

In that year Telmex increased its financial resources by R$ 2,6 billion.
